Tegemeo at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) MLE Community of Practice (CoP) Convening

The Institute attended and participated in the just concluded Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF) Monitoring Learning Evaluation Community of Practice (MLE-CoP) Convening. The Convening was organized to coincide with the 7th African Evaluation Association (AfrEA) International Conference which took place from March 3rd 2014 in Yaoundé, Cameron.

The objectives of the MLE-COP were:

The Institute was represented by Dr. Mary Mathenge, the Institute Director, Dr. Mercy Kamau, a Senior Research Fellow at the Institute and Dr. Timothy Njagi, also a Research Fellow at the Institute. Dr. Njagi chaired one of the sessions on the agricultural strand of agriculture and food security on behalf of the team.

Participants to the COP also attended the AfrEA conference, which is a premier assembling bringing together Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) experts from across Africa and the world, for a wide range of high calibre workshops, presentations, panel discussions, and keynote speeches on a wide range of cutting-edge evaluation topics and issues.
