The paper identifies the emerging consumption trends for fruits and vegetables in Nairobi and identifies trade issues that influence the consumption patterns. It identifies how the urban consumption of fruits and vegetables can be improved through market and trade initiatives and also identifies how system organization and performance of the fruits and vegetable market affects the ability of the system to satisfy consumer demand.

Paper 6.- Legal Reform in the Agricultural Sector: Gem Argwings Kodhek.
The paper identifies the constraints imposed by the current agricultural legislation due to the multiplicity of the legislation that is out of date with the current economic thinking. The paper proposes the development of umbrella legislation in agriculture through review, updating, repealing and consolidation of the legal statutes in the sector.
